I’ve had the pleasure of capturing this young lady several times over the years. Her family is our Fond du Lac family. I use to babysit Keeli and her little sister. Now she babysits my kids. Keeli is a complete sweetie, with a playful spirit and an incredible servant’s heart. She has these amazing green eyes (that I absolutely adore) and a beautiful smile.
A couple of things about this shoot… First, we got kicked off of a property while shooting. It was the old train depot here in town. I only got 2 shots off before someone approached us and told us it was private property. I’ve shot there many times before. I didn’t think it would be a big deal because she was just sitting on the cement stairs (we weren’t harming anything). Since it will be the last shot I ever take there I had to include it in this set. I’m still bummed that I will not have that location as a resource in the future. Oh well…
The other story from our shoot… We went to this one alley where there were 2 men working on the building. They had their saws and tools out. I was concerned that they were going to tell us to leave too. We went about our business. As we were wrapping up, one guy kindly says to me “There’s got to be better places to take pictures.” I chuckled and said “You think so? I’d shoot here any day.” All of the shots of Keeli in the black and white dress were taken in this alley. I think you can see what I love about it
Keeli, as always, I had a blast shooting you. Thank you for being a wonderful subject and rep for me. I pray that you will have a fantastic senior year!
Here’s Jake… one of my Senior Reps for the Class of 2011. He was full of ideas. He is just as photogenic as his older sister who’s senior portraits are plastered all over my website. He has incredible style and can rock the serious look.
I had a blast working with you, Jake. Hope you enjoy this sample from your shoot. I’ll get the rest of your proofs to you shortly!
Meet little T. He is the youngest (soon to be middle child) of our dear friends, Jeff & Lori. As life seems to be getting busier with each passing season, I absolutely enjoy the shoots with their family so we can catch up and I can spend some time with the kids. It had been several months since I had seen T. As soon as I walked in the door he wanted me to hold him. He wouldn’t let me put him down. We were interacting and having a blast just hanging out. It cracked me up because that was the first time he had ever done that. I eventually had to put him down so I could pick up the camera to photograph him. T was full of smiles and his adorable, HUGE dimples. He is just as busy as older brother, F. Even though this shoot was centered around T, I couldn’t resist getting a few snaps of F. These 2 definitely make me work but honestly, they are the essence of what I love to do… CAPTURING my subject. There were no sit here, look, and smile moments. It was more like run, run as fast as you can… you can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread man.
You know what did help T to stay in one place? The hose! This kid LOVES the water. I’m giddy about the shots we got with the hose. Pure joy!
Jeff and Lori, thank you for once again trusting me to capture your precious family. Can’t wait to meet your newest addition in 7 weeks!
