Month: July, 2010
I have 2 seniors named Molly on the calendar. Meet the first Molly! She is absolutely darling. Molly loves to play her flute and is also the manager for her high school wrestling team. Her lovely eyes and flawless skin were a joy to capture and edit.
We kept running into obstacles on this shoot. I had several ideas that were getting blocked. First was the bridge that I wanted to use… the road was closed because they were working on the bridge. Then we were going to borrow a church building but there turned out to be a funeral. Then one of the other nature areas that I had in mind was completely overgrown and the mosquitoes were horrible. We stumbled around town and got some pretty great shots, in my humble opinion. And, we did end up sneaking over to the church at the end of the shoot because I knew it would be the perfect spot for Molly.
Clare, thanks for choosing me to capture Molly . You were both a joy to work with and I hope you find a few shots that you adore!

~ 9 Days Old ~ Newborn Photography ~ Fond du Lac, WI
July 28, 2010
I had the honor of photographing this couple’s wedding in 2008. When I got the call a few weeks ago saying that they wanted a newborn shoot, I was SO excited! This is sweet baby Reece. She is very easy going, doesn’t mind the dog licking her, but would prefer that the photographer not mess with her too much
Congratulations, Kip & Jill! Enjoy every moment because it goes super fast…

~ David ~ Senior Portraits ~ Fond du Lac, WI
July 26, 2010
I feel as though I’m being redundant on my descriptions of the Senior guys that I’ve had the privilege of capturing this summer. But, seriously, here is yet another striking young man. David loves to play hockey, soccer, and tennis. His bright blue eyes are a photographer’s dream. He had a quiet demeanor during our session. I have a feeling that was a little out of the ordinary for him.
One funny story about this shoot… we were in an alley and 2 ladies approached us saying that we couldn’t be taking pictures by the building. I asked her why and she said that I just can’t. I simply stated that we were taking his senior portraits. They completely changed their tone and were congratulating him. Then they said, “why would you want to shoot here?” The spot that I they were talking about is the one with where he’s wearing the red shirt and the black bars behind him. I adore that spot!
David, I hope you have an incredible Senior year. Best wishes to you!

Your work just gets better and better and better my friend! I love every one, but my favorite is the bw in plaid shirt by far!
