We were playing around in the back yard yesterday. She wanted nothing to do with pictures. I love the moodiness that she did give me in several shots. 15 days until her birthday. Here’s a little sneak peek of what’s to come at the end of the month

Would You Let Your Kids Play in Muddy Water?

I’m one of those moms that tries not to get too worked up over kids getting dirty especially if we don’t have any plans. If we are out and about and don’t have a change of clothes, I have to admit that is a issue. However, I feel that every once in a while kids need to get really dirty, just for the fun of it. If I have my camera along, even better!

This was a planned get dirty time for the kids. I am a currently participating in a Bloom Workshop hosted by the wonderful Brenda & Kristy. This week we were challenged submit a photo from a different perspective. I’ve been wanting to update some splashing pictures so we searched for a puddle. There weren’t many left but we found this one. Only this puddle was really muddy.

I was laying on my left side, head dangling dangerously close to the mud puddle. There were tennis lessons going on right next to us, a lady running the track (had to tell my kids to wait so they wouldn’t splash her), and a mom walking by telling her son “DO NOT go in that water.” Honestly, it was hilarious! I’m sure I looked like a freak to all who were observing this. But these images are worth it to me. It captures the essence of being a carefree kid.

Guess what ~ We all survived and the clothes are clean!

I love these shots. I don’t usually like my kids to get dirty but there are more times than not that I say “what the heck, go have fun.”

Wow, first time I have seen these pics. Those are really good honey, love the detail, crispness of the colors, and of course the story they tell in simple puddle jumping.

lol! It didn’t even occur to me that the camera could get wet. Fortunately, there were no hard lessons learned with my ignorance.

I don’t know which is sweeter….the images or the fact that your hubby left some comment love to his fave photog These images are really awesome! Love that you caught these moments, you’ll cherish them forever!!
