Month: May, 2011
This is the first family session that I have had this Spring. And Spring has barely even sprung even though we are almost 2 months in. There were a few phone calls back and forth with Jenni trying to figure out if we should go forward due to the dreary weather last Saturday morning. It was very overcast, 48 degrees, 15 mile/hr winds, and a threat of rain all day. We decided to go for it and head to urban settings in hopes that the buildings would block some of the wind. I am SO glad we did!
First off, I felt an instant connection with this family as it is basically what my family looked like 4 years ago. The kids were incredibly well behaved and cooperative despite the less than ideal temps. Even dad was into the shoot and ready for anything! As family photographers know, the dad’s attitude can make or break the session and Jason made this shoot. Honestly, this family was a delight to work with.
At first the little guy wasn’t too sure of me. When I pointed the camera toward him, he would cover his face… which was too cute. By the end, he ran toward me and touched his forehead to mine. Seriously, melt my heart! Big sister was fantastic and absolutely beautiful. Is it bad that I’m envious of a 7 year old’s hair? Gorgeous!
Jenni, I had a blast capturing your beautiful family. Hope you find a few that you adore. Here are a few of my faves.
