~ Swamped ~
Do you ever feel that way? That’s how I’ve felt lately. It’s all been good stuff that we’ve been swamped with… projects around the house, time with friends and family, a crazy puppy that needs to be watched constantly, etc. As a result of me being swamped, I’ve had hardly any time at the computer and this session should have been blogged last week.
~ Family ~
We’ve been going to church with this family for many years. I’ve had the joy of teaching the kids in Sunday School too. I think we figured out that it had been 4 years since I last photographed them. Long enough that I wasn’t blogging then so I don’t have a link to share. The morning started out windy and chilly. There was a slight haze to the sky. The temperature warmed but the wind continued. About 3 clicks into the session there was the most startling noise. I just about hit the deck as it sounded like a missle had been launched. Turns out we would hear that sound several times during the shoot because they were launching rockets from the pier with many onlookers enjoying the show. Our first reactions were hilarious as we were clueless about the event going on just over our shoulders. Anyway, Tim & Heather, thanks for choosing me to capture your family once again. Hope you enjoy the photos!
I love photographing this couple. I had the privilege of shooting their wedding 5 years ago, some just for fun photos and other random events. I cannot wait to get my hands on their little man who’s expected to arrive in July.
Heather & Miles are in our life group at church. They are a fantastic couple and we are excited to celebrate with them as they welcome a child into their zoo… 3 dogs, 2 cats, 10 mallard ducklings that they rescued and just hatched last week, salamanders, etc.
Meet the lovely and talented senior I recently photographed:
She is darling and a delight to be around. She played piano while we were shooting which was such a treat!
It was a dreary day that cleared just enough for us to shoot… even if we had to walk around on wet grass and use a towel to sit on.
We even got a shot with her dog, Monster. Isn’t that a great name for a Shih Tzu?
