These 2 high school sweethearts were a part of our youth group 11 years ago. At that time, Aaron and I had the 1 year old daughter.
Now, Michael and Tara are on the parenthood adventure. Where does the time go?
Sweet Reagan reminds me a lot of Jayda with her desire to be on the go, dig in the dirt, and never wanting to miss a thing.
Once again, my heart is full after reconnecting and working with former youth group kids.
Michael & Tara, thank you for choosing me to photograph your precious family. May God bless you all!
This summer I had the joy of reuniting with some roommates from college. Lisa, Dawn, Heidi, & I were able to hang out while the kids went into instant best friend mode. We all lived in B5 our sophomore year at Bethel College. Mer & Heather were missing from the group along with their 5 kids. It had been just a couple of years since I saw Dawn at our 15 year reunion. I’m pretty sure the last time I had seen Lisa was at our 10th reunion which was 7 years ago. And sadly, the last time I had seen Heidi was at her wedding 13 years ago… WAY TOO LONG. I’ve been saying this for years but one of these days I WILL take a trip to Seattle to visit Heidi.
Since my visits with these gals are few and far between, I just had to take some photos of the kiddos. Heidi’s youngest didn’t end up coming to the shoot so she is missing from these photos. Dawner, thank you for hosting us. The Martells had such a great time with you guys!
Heidi’s Oldest: The beautiful Santorini!
Dawner’s darling boys: Luke & Ty! “Don’t smile, Luke. Don’t you dare smile” may have been said on a few occasions, lol.
Of course, we added my crazies in there for a few candid moments.
Here are the photos that I took of my cousin’s kids… including her almost High School Senior. Honestly, I’m not sure how that’s even possible as darling Sydney was just a baby at my wedding. Time goes by way too quickly that’s for certain! Thankfully, we shot in the morning but it was still 95 and unbelievably humid. We were all melting and decided to be as efficient as possible. While my focus was on Sydney for most of it, I had to grab some of the younger ones as well as a group shot. Sher & Sydney, thanks for putting up with the heat and working around my crazy schedule.
Here she is: Sydney
And, the rest of the family…
